How a course with us actually works
From the first phone call to ongoing support afterward, here is what to expect at each stage.
Initial conversation
A short call or email exchange to understand what a learner wants to be able to do, whether that's texting grandchildren or setting up online banking.
Skill check-in
A brief, informal review of current comfort level. This isn't a test. It just helps decide where a course should start.
Choosing a path
Based on the check-in, a learner and coordinator settle on a starting course or track, whether that's a single topic or a broader combination.
Scheduling sessions
Sessions are booked around a learner's routine. Morning, afternoon, and some evening slots are typically available.
Ongoing support
After a course wraps up, learners can reach out with follow-up questions by phone or email for a set period.
In-person sessions vs. remote video sessions
Both formats teach the same material. The difference is mostly about comfort, travel, and the equipment already on hand.
In-Person Sessions
- Requires travel to a scheduled location
- Instructor can point directly at the screen in hand
- Useful for learners who find phone screens easier to read in person
- Scheduling tends to follow fixed weekly slots
Remote Video Sessions
- No travel required, sessions happen from home
- Practice happens on the exact device used daily
- Requires a stable internet connection and a working camera
- Scheduling tends to be more flexible across the week
